Background
The House of Lords Department of Facilities aims to provide suitable and sufficient accommodation for Members and Staff of the House of Lords, a building and works programme for the House of Lords, catering services, private function facilities, a gift shop, support facilities and office facilities to the House. The Department comprises of Property & Office Services and Catering and Retail Services. This post is within the department of Property and Office Services and has a link with Black Rod’s Department.
The Role
The main objective is to assist the Senior Facilities Manager (Operations) with the management of operational service delivery, hard and soft services, minor works projects, decant and accommodation refurbishments; conservation; fire safety works; health and safety compliance, developing and proactive contract management
The Person
The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience:
- Experience and knowledge of operational building management, including hard and soft service delivery
- Experience of delivering or working in a front of house service role delivering excellent customer service
- Contract management experience of outsourced services
