At the Parliamentary Digital Service, we’re transforming the way Parliament does digital. We’re responsible for the digital output of all parliamentary services. We think it’s important that everyone can access and understand what’s going on in Parliament. The technical lead will be a key member of the team, head of open data, architects and software development team members. The role will involve developing the Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) framework for integrating upstream master data sources from parliamentary business systems into the Data Platform, as well as developing API’s to expose the integrated data as data services for internal and external clients, and migrating existing Data Platform services to the new Data Platform.

We are currently looking for candidates who have:

  • Experience with developing using RDF graph databases in the cloud (AWS/GCloud/Azure), including setting up and optimising
  • Have experience, knowledge and understanding of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes for data integration into a Graph Database from master data sources (CSV/RDBMS/API/Stream)
  • Excellent and proven SPARQL skills
