Do you create inspiring designs for print, digital channels and events? Do you have experience in building successful brand identities?  If yes, then we have an exciting opportunity for you to join a once in a lifetime programme.

The Palace of Westminster is home to one of the busiest and most historic parliamentary institutions in the world and is an enduring symbol of our national identity. As one of the top 5 most recognisable buildings in the world, the Palace is visited by millions of tourists each year.

The Houses of Parliament Restoration and Renewal Programme is being set up to tackle all the work necessary to protect and preserve this UNESCO World Heritage site. It will be the biggest renovation of a historic building ever undertaken in the UK.

Two separate bodies, Sponsor Body and Delivery Authority, are being created through legislation to oversee and execute the programme of works, to ensure a properly functioning and safe environment for those who work there and visitors.

The Programme is a high value, technical, business critical and politically complex environment which will attract intense scrutiny. Strategic Communications will therefore be integral to the success of the Programme, in explaining and promoting it to the public, the media and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

We are looking for a Design and Brand Owner for the Sponsor Body (in shadow and substantive states) who will produce designs for a wide range of briefs and channels. The role will also include establishing protocols for design, brand and creative assets as well as managing relationships with external agencies and suppliers.

You will bring a wealth of knowledge of the latest practices in communications design-led thinking and have a successful track record of developing engaging content.

In turn we are offering the following benefits:

  • Annual leave starting at 30 days pro rata
  • Civil Service Pension scheme
  • Interest-free season ticket loan
  • Discounted membership of the in-house gym

All applications must be submitted on a House of Commons application form
