Programme Support Officer

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to provide support to the Transition team within the Restoration and Renewal Programme. You will be supporting the core programme management activities of programme planning, risk management and programme reporting and take responsibility for project managing one or more of the Transition work packages. Working within a small, close-knit team you will be given the opportunity to develop, learn and progress and the support to enhance the skills and experience you’re bringing to the role.

The Person

You will be self-motivated and keen to learn, with experience supporting programmes or projects including involvement in programme or project planning, progress reporting and risk management. This is an exciting project that is developing on a daily basis and you will be encouraged to develop as the project does. This is an opportunity for you to grow and enhance your skills and experience in a challenging role but you will be given the support you need to achieve your potential. You will be able to prioritise effectively and have the ability to cope with ambiguity when the way forward is not necessarily clear from the outset, considering alternative approaches and proposing the appropriate course of action. As well as being able to work independently and take responsibility for day-to-day matters you will also be a committed team player, contributing to team decisions and driving effective team working.

Essential Qualifications

A recognised Project or Programme Management qualification (for example PRINCE2 or Managing Successful Programmes) or a willingness to study to quickly gain that qualification.
