Building Services Electrician (Shift)

Then the Parliamentary Maintenance Services team has the ideal opportunity. They provide shift cover and reactive attendance to building services faults and breakdowns across the parliamentary estate 24/7 365 days per year. And, right now, they want someone like you to join them.

As the Building Services Electrician (shift), working within a team providing 24/7 responses, working as part of the Engineers Control team providing a multi skill function necessary to quickly attend and resolve a wide range of building services related incidents. The role includes maintenance tasks, tracing and rectifying faults and carrying out lift entrapments release across the Parliamentary Estate

Must have experience and a good working knowledge of trade related plant and equipment i.e. air-conditioning, motor control systems, etc. Have experience of methods used to carry out fault finding on electrical circuitry. You must also possess a working knowledge of health and safety, welfare legislation and issues related to building services, plant and equipment. Be able to demonstrates a good working knowledge of tasks and paperwork necessary to provide maintenance of a range of electrical services and equipment
