We are looking for a Records Review Project Co-Ordinator to join the Archives Relocation Programme as we work to transfer the archive collections, some people and services to The National Archives by summer 2025. In this position you will complete work to sensitivity review a backlog of records and communicate with other Parliamentary teams on decisions and approvals. You will work closely with and be advised by the Archives Business Lead, the Information and Records Management Service and the Head of the Preservation and Access team.

There will be learning and development opportunities as part of this role, e.g. training courses on information legislation, or project and programme management.

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and organised individual to join the Archives Relocation Programme during a period of unprecedented change, as we work with the Parliamentary Archives to complete the biggest move in our history.

You’ll be accountable for/to:

  • Work with stakeholders to prioritise records in scope of the review.
  • Identify sensitive information in records, making recommendations on their future open/closed status.
  • Train and co-ordinate others to help with the sensitivity reviews (e.g. staff from other parliamentary teams).
  • With information and archive subject matter leads, work to secure agreement of the recommendations with relevant parliamentary teams.
  • Contribute to the development of processes and standards relating to future sensitivity review activities (e.g. at point of transfer of records to TNA, annual processes to review records as closure periods expire etc).

If this sounds like something you would like to hear more about, please apply below.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience of working in Parliament and an understanding of the business records which are created, their sensitivities and context.
  • A qualification in information management / archives or a relevant information compliance field would be desirable.
