The Role
CSC Leaders creates an environment where decision-makers and strategic thinkers from across the Commonwealth work collaboratively; they share their experiences and, through discussion, debate, visits and small group sessions, take an international, multi-cultural approach to addressing a global challenge.
Each year a challenge is set for the participants, one which addresses a fundamental issue of today that is common to all. The 2019 Challenge is: What makes a city resilient?
The Challenge underpins leadership learning. Participants tackle the Challenge and develop proposals before presenting them to a panel of experts at the end of Part One. Implementing their ideas will give participants a focus for their continuing connections.
CSC Leaders benefit from: broader horizons; cultural intelligence; a greater ability to thrive in multiple cultures; long-lasting relationships across the globe and an ability to lead beyond their circle of authority. Further information can be found here
