The Heritage Resilience Coordinator sits in the Heritage Collections Team (HCT) within Participation.  The HCT is responsible for the professional management of three historic collections of national and international importance (Historic Furniture and Decorative Arts, The Parliamentary Art Collection and the Architectural Fabric Collection). 

This post offers an exciting opportunity to help ensure the care and safety of Parliament’s Heritage Collections. The post sits within the Heritage Collections Team, working closely with the Parliamentary Archives, the House of Commons Library and the House of Lords Library who are also responsible for heritage items. This post will ensure that Parliament is prepared for, and effectively manages, incidents and salvage for the heritage collections across both Houses.

The Person: 

  • Experience working in the heritage sector, preferably in a public museum or a historic building context
  • Experience of presenting, training or running exercises
  • Experience in the field of emergency planning and/or salvage planning
  • Degree level qualification (need not be emergency planning) or equivalent experience
