As Change and Implementation Manager, the post holder will work as part of the Transition team on organisational set up, organisational design, development and the build of the new Sponsor Body and/or Delivery Authority organisations.

  • Understanding the requirements for a Finance Operating Model and gathering the necessary information from stakeholders and outside the organisation
  • Developing end-to-end financial policies and procedures for the funding and financial monitoring of the programme
  • Developing requirements for Sponsor Body and Delivery Authority Financial and HR systems
  • Facilitating workshops, or information sessions, for stakeholders to validate thinking on the ‘shadow’ and/or ‘target’ Operating Models.

The post holder will require a blend of change management, project management and finance, business analysis skills. They will be responsible for taking large amounts of background project information, assimilating it, defining what needs to be done next, and making it happen. They will have the ability to think from a process level through to a strategic level, with an understanding of everything in between.

The successful applicant will have experience of working in an environment going through organisational change and knowledge of organisational change initiatives and have completed or working towards completion of Project or Programme Management qualification - PRINCE2 or Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) or Change Management and/or Business Design or similar.

Ability to work within a complex stakeholder environment where they will have to make sense of ambiguity, build structures where they are currently lacking, and create the momentum for change. The role requires an analytical approach to understanding what needs to be done and the driving force to make it happen. Communication and engagement skills are important for bringing people along the change journey.
