Would you like to direct a stakeholder engagement team responsible for the Sponsor’s relationships with Members, Officials and Staff of the Houses of Parliament and key government stakeholders? If yes, then we have an exciting opportunity for you to join a truly unique organisation at a time of significant change?

The Palace of Westminster is home to one of the busiest and most historic parliamentary institutions in the world and is an enduring symbol of our national identity. As one of the top 5 most recognisable buildings in the world, the Palace is visited by millions of tourists each year.

The Houses of Parliament Restoration and Renewal Programme is being set up to tackle all the work necessary to protect and preserve this UNESCO World Heritage site. It will be the biggest renovation of a historic building ever undertaken in the UK.

Two separate bodies, Sponsor Body and Delivery Authority, are being created through legislation to oversee and execute the programme of works, to ensure a properly functioning and safe environment for those who work there and visitors.

The Programme is a high value, technical, business critical and politically complex environment which will attract intense scrutiny.

We are looking for an Engagement Strategy Manager who will create and monitor an extensive network of ‘internal’ stakeholders who will support the delivery of the Programme’s business objectives. You will design and execute an Engagement Strategy, building relationships and mitigating risks to ensure all ‘internal’ engagement is aligned with the overarching strategic objectives of the Programme.

You will have experience of managing, delivering and measuring engagement plans across a major complex delivery programme. You will have strong communications, stakeholder and planning skills and be comfortable operating in a start-up style work environment.

In turn we are offering the following benefits:

  • Annual leave starting at 30 days pro rata
  • Civil Service Pension scheme
  • Interest-free season ticket loan
  • Discounted membership of the in-house gym

All applications must be submitted on a House of Commons application form
