Senior Workspace Analyst

London SW1

 c. £56,000

Do you have experience of providing objective workspace advice and producing workplace feasibility studies, strategies and options appraisals, plus a real desire to work in a unique and historic environment? Then make the move to Parliament’s Strategic Estates Property, Planning & Design team.

Our Strategic Estates department manages property and engineering infrastructures across a Parliamentary estate that consists of buildings that range from the historic Palace of Westminster to the modern Portcullis House. The estate is also located within a UNESCO World Heritage site and spans four conservation areas. The Property, Planning & Design team plays its part by providing workspace related design and support services to the House of Commons and the House of Lords to ensure the Estate is a welcoming and accessible working environment for all and maintained to House wide standards. And, we want you on our team.

A great opportunity to make the most of your professional knowledge, you’ll act as the informed client in accommodation design matters for a variety of projects and high value strategic programmes. You’ll also regularly liaise with our Senior Property Analysts, using your combined experience in workplace strategy and planning, interior design and architecture to deliver workspace designs and optimisation. An interesting and varied role, on any given day you might be focusing on workplace matters like assessing buildings for suitability for staff and members, carrying out test fits or planning for office decants. In short, you’ll discover all the challenges you need here.

To make the role yours, you’ll need an Honours Degree in a relevant discipline such as Interior Design or Architecture. We’ll also be looking for a track record of acting as or with the clients on workplace asset strategies and workspace planning and design. Indeed, you’re not only used to delivering property and workplace schemes in a complex environment, often, under pressure, you have a good understanding of managing decant strategies too.

And, it goes without saying that you're competent in using workspace design software. Managing consultants and contractors from time-to-time comes naturally to you, as does preparing and assessing tenders. What’s more, you have great analysis & decision-making skills, know how to persuade stakeholders using a range of techniques and are able to convey complex information in a meaningful way.

In addition to an attractive salary, the benefits package includes the possibility of flexible working, while annual leave entitlement starts at 30 days per year. There are also subsidised canteens, a gym on-site and a season ticket loan scheme is available.
