The Role
Join our Enterprise Portfolio Management Office to help Parliament invest in and deliver the right projects at the right time in the right way. Working alongside Digital Service and Strategic Estates colleagues we support a huge and diverse range of exciting change projects – from introducing Office 365 to refurbishing Big Ben.We are looking for an ambitious and collaborative Portfolio Manager to join the team.
The purpose of this role is to support the Head of EPMO in establishing and co-ordinating strategic management and oversight of Parliament’s portfolio of programmes and projects, with specific responsibility for Enterprise Portfolio Management. There is no direct programme or project delivery responsibility.
The Person
The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience:
- Experience of dynamic portfolio, programme and project management in a complex organisation. Experience of agile and waterfall methodologies. Public sector portfolio management experience is desirable
- Advanced knowledge of a range of portfolio prioritisation and planning strategies, methods and tools, with evidence of initiative and originality in using these.
- Ability to establish authority and credibility quickly in a wide ranging community of stakeholders with sensitivity to organisational culture and values.
