The Role
The Strategic Estates (SE) team in Parliament takes great pride in looking after and improving the buildings of Parliament itself, as custodians of the Estate. We operate on a working World Heritage site which attracts visitors from all over the globe, in a challenging stakeholder environment where conservation and the need to innovate and build for the future coincide.
As Strategic Estates’ portfolio of work becomes more evident and essential works become more intrusive it is vital that we engage effectively with our customers and key stakeholders. This role will be pivotal in promoting the work of Strategic Estates and providing customers with timely information on potential impacts.
Key Responsibilities (further information can be found in the Job Description)
- Writing MEP Commissioning brief and scope at an early stage of each project/programme.
- Undertake whole project review in respect of commissioning.
- Develop and embed integrated working practices.
- Coordinating the inspection, identification, recognition and witnessing of technical elements and defects.
Essential Qualifications
- Relevant degree level qualification in an Engineering or Building Services discipline.
- Member of relevant professional bodies e.g. Institute of Clerk of Works and Construction Inspectorate (ICWCI), IET, CIBSE, IMeche.
