Senior Project Leaders required to support the work of the significant refurbishment and redevelopment of a number of buildings on the Parliamentary Northern Estate. The Senior Project Leaders act as the intelligent client working collaboratively with the appointed contractors and consultants to monitor and review progress, ensure project progress is aligned to enable the delivery of key milestones and any problems that may arise are rectified. There are a number of projects of significant value within the Programme and the Senior Project Leader will be responsible for their area and ensure continuity with other project leads across the Programme as well as develop and maintain excellent stakeholder relationships.

The Programme

The Northern Estates Programme has been established to oversee the provision of alternative accommodation for the House of Commons and Members of Parliament whilst the restoration of the Palace of Westminster takes place. The projects within the Programme are high profile, complex and of significant value. The Parliamentary Northern Estate is contained within a secure perimeter and a number of projects will be in various stages of progress at any one time. The Person

You will have demonstrable experience of delivering significant, high value redevelopment or refurbishment projects with experience of managing external contractors and consultants through a large client organisation. You will foster a culture of one team approach in achieving business and project delivery and work with the consultant advisory services team and main contractor to oversee the design, cost and schedule of the construction works. The ability to set, monitor and report on project cash flows and key KPI's is key as is the ability to understand planning techniques and advise on scheduling control of projects. An accredited qualification in a related technical subject such as construction, engineering or architecture is essential as is expereince of contract administration of multi-million pound technical professional services contracts. Experience of NEC3 contract would also be a distinct advantage.
