The Opportunity

We are looking for someone who is proactive and has a proven track record of delivery. The successful candidate will be user-centric and able to facilitate the delivery of iterative improvements to the operating model.

  • managing the implementation of targeted initiatives, ensuring delivery outcomes are delivered to time, within budget and to the necessary quality. 
  • maintaining delivery momentum through solving problems, using data-driven insights to inform planning and escalating blockers where necessary.
  • raising and managing risks, issues and dependencies and applying appropriate controls and monitoring where needed.
  • adapting and reflecting on the delivery approach, improving processes where applicable
  • listening to and understanding the needs of the business and technical stakeholders, demonstrating strong stakeholder and change management skills. 

What You Need

  • experience of successfully managing and delivering significant pieces of work, projects and/or changes, and facilitating the delivery flow of a team, managing the pace and tempo of delivery.
  • strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish positive working relationships with users, stakeholders and colleagues, and the ability to listen to the needs of technical and business stakeholders, and interpret them. 
  • demonstrates good planning, organisational and prioritisation skills to meet deadlines, combat fluctuations in workload and solve problems that present themselves, removing blockers or impediments that affect plans and can develop a plan for difficult situations.
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively in appropriate styles at all levels. 
  • ability to work successfully within a team, whilst upholding the values of equality, diversity, and inclusion and help to create the right environment for a team to work in and can empower them to deliver.
  • an understanding of modern, agile delivery methodologies and some experience in their use (desirable but not essential).
  • the ability to pass security clearance, backed by the right to work in the UK

About The Team

The Transforming Digital Directorate is being created to drive value from the investment that has been made through the Transforming Digital Programme. The Programme created a new digital and data operating model which is enabling Parliament to do more with digital and data. The Delivery Manager will sit within the Innovation and Initiatives team in Transforming Digital and will support the delivery of targeted initiatives across Parliament to evolve and embed the digital and data operating model.
